The Event (New Episodes)

The major TV networks are coming out with a few new shows starting around April 1.  One show that we like is, "The Event," an action show with aspects of sci-fi and political undertones.

The next new episode is on Monday on NBC, April 4th.

For more information, please visit:

Separately, "Harry's Law" has some good writers, created by David Kelley,  and seems to be decent.  Kathy Bates and some other familiar faces adds to the show.

Lawn Care: Early Spring

Spring has arrived so it's time to lay down some fertilizer and lime (depending on your soil / region).

Fertilizer Tips

  • The fertilizer serves double duty: it fertilizes the grass and kills the weeds.
  • It's best to lay the fertilizer down when the grass is still damp: either during the early morning (so the morning dew catches the fertilizer) -- or after it rains.
  • The wetness helps the weed killer stick to the leaves -- killing the weeds.
  • You do NOT want to lay the fertilizer down before an expected rainstorm or else much of the fertilizer will get washed away.
  • Do not lay the first feeding of the season down until it is consistently in the 60's.  You want the fertilizer to help grass when it is growing.

Dancing with the Stars - Premier Tonight 3/21

For DWTS (Dancing with the Stars) fans -- the premiere for the new season is tonight!

And -- if you are interested in a preview about the stars:

TV's giddiest dance competition returns for a new season, with the outrageous Kirstie Alley (paired with fan fave Maks) the highest-profile celeb in the cast. Her competition includes the usual suspects: athletes (Hines Ward, Sugar Ray Leonard), C-list performers (Ralph Macchio) a rapper (Romeo), a reality "star" (Kendra Wilkinson), a flamboyant talk-show host (Wendy Williams), a supermodel (Petra Nemcova) and a Disney personality few of the target audience will ever have heard of (Chelsea Kane).

American Idol article

Here's a nice article on the latest round of American Idol:

Unlike the men of the night before , the dozen women in the “American Idol” semifinals had a hard time standing out from the crowd.

With at least five spots there for the taking (and as many as eight, depending on how the judges spend those three wildcards), nerves and song choices helped keep anyone from separating from the pack early. But the show closed with three straight performances that allowed things to finish on a high note.
